about the artist
Art has been woven into the fabric of my life since childhood, influenced by my grandmother who was a wonderfully talented artist. While I've spent decades refining my skills as a draftswoman, it wasn’t until 2017 that I picked up a paintbrush…and I immediately fell in love.
Currently, as a fine artist specializing in portraiture, I bring subjects to life through the timeless mediums of oil paint, charcoal, and graphite. My artistic journey has been deeply influenced by my studies in Florence, Italy - including intensive training at the renowned Florence Academy of Art, where I immersed myself in the traditional craftsmanship of portraiture.
My work seeks to capture not just the physical likeness of my subjects, but the essence of their character and spirit. Each portrait is a careful study in light, shadow, and expression, created through layers of patience and dedication to classical techniques.
Based in Los Angeles, I balance my artist practice with a full family life that includes my wonderful husband Ryan, our daughter Lucie, and my 4-legged kid Chuy. When I'm not in the studio, you'll likely find me spending time with family and dear friends, enjoying great food and wine, and planning our next adventure to Italy so I can continue to study and draw inspiration from the masters.
